canada v england

Stop the press, hold the back page... Last night in Stellenbosch, Ms Love suffered a calamitous back gammon reverse. 2 sets played, 2 sets lost. 1-3 and then a whitewash, 3-0.

The scores are thus level, 103 sets each, going into the last 3 days. Will there be a winner? Or will the happy couple decide to go over the finishing line hand in hand? Stay tuned..

Comments:
C'mon Court!! Canada's rooting for you! The Las Vegas bookies have set a line on you! You can do it! Be ruthless! Beat the pants off him!!

Oops - I take that back. Maybe that's a bad idea after all - if you beat the pants off him, we'll have more naked Pete pictures on the internet.

Oh well, we are all watching the scores. I know you'll do us proud! Remember, even 1 set constitutes a win.

GO CANADA
love,
Aunti Woodstock

We really don't want any more naked photos of Wy li on the internet, come on England!

Heathrow is on standby!
The open top bus is booked!
Trafalgar Square is already beginning to fill!
C'mon Pete - England expects ......

Dad

Courtney,
You are SO good! Letting this guy think he's a hero as he goes back to England as a jobless person. Sweetheart, I know I taught to keep your man happy, but between you and me (and dozens of blog readers), this goes beyond the call of duty. Go for it, Court!
(Although I'm with the others on beating his pants off ! Is there any way you can win and still have him clothed?)
Mom

OK, I think I have this figured out. We have all slagged Pete so often about the ubiquitous yellow t-shirt that the poor lad is afraid to wear it now. Unfortunately, he has no other clothes. The end result is "naked pete". We are the masters of our own fate.

The creators of this site previously held a poll to determine whose bamboo painting was the superior work of art. Perhaps it is now time for the faithful readers to hold their own poll.

If you feel that it is time for the yellow shirt to make a come-back, please enter your vote for SHIRT.

If you prefer "naked pete", please enter your vote for SKIN.

Courtney, you are not allowed to vote as I am quite sure that your vote would be tainted by the fact that, in your experience, "naked pete" would not be construed as a "bad thing"

As author of this comment and instigator of this poll, please allow me to cast the first ballot - SHIRT.

In closing, I have something els that I would like to add.

Your great adventure is coming to an end. You are about to return home and begin your lives together. Settling in to your new home, pounding the pavement day after day in search of meaningful employment, pounding back beer at the local night after night in search of solace.

This has been a wonderful year for you both, going places and seeing things that some of us have only dreamed of. The world has been your playground.

Now all of your friends and family will be glad to see you safely arrive on your home turf, but we have one dilema fcing us.

WHAT THE HELL ARE THE REST OF US GOING TO DO WITH OUR TIME ONCE THE BLOG STOPS!!!!!!!!!!!

Love you both,
Aunti Sharon

PS to Will - before you finalize the rental arrangements on the flat you might want to research these two a bit further. As one who does this for a living, allow me to give you a few tips. In locating a good tenant you want someone whose history indicates stability. Therefore, you should first check their previous rental history. If they haven't remained at the same address for more that one full year, they could be considered a flight risk and you may find yourself with an empty flat and no rent collected. If their previous landlords cite any instances of property damege(such as broken windows) or social misbehaviour (such as temper tantrums over Star TV or the lack thereof)they could be problematic once installed on the property. Additionally, you should verify their employment. If they are unemployed and/or have not been gainfully employed for an unbroken 12 month term, they may not have sufficient finances to pay the rent. Finally, check their credit - if they have been living off their credit cards for 12 months and have run their balances to the maximum level, they may be considered a credit risk.

In Canada, any one of the above would be sufficient to stamp their application DECLINED
