out to africa
So, one final fling. Tomorrow we leave for 6 weeks in Southern Africa, before unemployment in London beckons. Anyone familar with the Etchell website will know the route - in fact we'll be trying to recreate all the photos. At least we won't have to search out Crystal Palace venues anymore...
Stay tuned for tales of Malawi, Zambia and South Africa.
Till the next time...

2 weeks with the outlaws
Ok, a rather confusing title for a post written by me (Ms. Love-to-be-Wylie) as they are not strictly speaking my 'outlaws', but Pete likes the term, so it's in (sorry Mum, Auntie Sharon et al). Just wait until I think of something naughty to call HIS family!
Anyway, 2 weeks since Jay and Helene's wedding has ticked over nicely. We've done the tour of essential relatives, friends and historical sites. Hello to Dad, the Grandmas, Auntie Helen and Christina (who was limping due to having just completed a marathon 30 minutes faster than Pete's best time - he hid his jealousy well I think!).
But more than that; we brainstormed, planned, budgetted, spreadsheeted (yes, another one) THE wedding... After having drowning in white fabric nightmares 3 nights running I set a moratorium on speaking about the event after 9pm - but other than that it was pretty much open season. If you ever need a DJ, white chair, pink napkin, cake or venue in Southern Ontario you know who to ask (actually I'd prefer you asked someone else... Vegas here we come!).
Pete even suggested we watch the latest Star Wars movie one night just for relief from THE TOPIC. Unfortunately he hasn't seen ANY of the other ones... it was quite a task trying to explain about 9 hours of previous plot at a whisper in between the explosions.
