leaving las vegas
The week in MalaysiaTrulyAsia is done and dusted. From here it's 4 weeks in Indonesia. First Bali for 2 days and then on to Flores in the far east, where you can almost touch Australia you're so near.
And of course mission on arrival will be the inevitably fruitless search for somewhere showing Everton v Palace on Sunday night... Happy days.

I mean you no harm and wish you well in your flight to suffer another year of endless Premiership pain. However its pretty clear that Pete is likely to be more disappointed actually finding somewhere showing Everton v Palace, than missing out and just having to check the reviews in the e-internet cafe.com (can I have some cyberfries with that).
Speaking from experience as a long-suffering Holtender, I felt much better a couple of weeks ago having missed the opportunity to pay £6 to watch my team capitulate (again) at St. Andrews.
Anyway, having already taken a tenner off Pete by giving him 10/1 against a Palace double over the Villa this season (that was a bit too close for comfort), I'm more than happy to cut out the betfair.com middleman and take some £'s or a few hundred '000 Indonesian Rupiah from Family Wylie by putting my money where my mouth is.
(In fact until yesterday I would have said the Palace have more chance of staying up than we have of seeing Pete partaking in ethnic dancing with head-dress)
