happy birthday and thanksgiving

before I start the proper update a quick birthday wish for Bryan. Also Happy Thanksgiving to all in Canada (and Jen and Melissa in the UK). Good luck with the dinner Auntie Sharon - try not to eat ALL the turkey while you are carving it!

You two missed a good dinner and, just for the record, SOMEONE has to test the turkey before serving it to the guests - just to make sure it's edible. All of the Russian Czars had taste-testers to ensure that their food had'nt been poisoned. I have, selflessly I might add, volunteered to be the official taste-tester to ensure the suitability of the meal for all!!!!! (Anyway, it always tastes best that way!!)
So far, Russia sounds really interesting - have a can of beer for me.
