stripteases, tulips and the french riveria

morning.

tackling the trans siberian express will surely be nothing compared to guiding 16 blokes around the delights of Riga for the weekend. most of what went on is either unrecordable or i've simply forgotten. if i say they threatened to throw us off the plane before we were even in the air, then i'm sure you get the drift...

amsterdam - is my bit... but I am going to have to keep it short since this french keyboard is even more difficult than the turkish one. melissa and I had a fantastic time trying our hardest to pretend we weren't in another country: sitting in our hotel room reading magazines then wandering around trying to find zara and h&m. And, sorry bridget, it was only me and not pete who went so no visit to the Bird family boat... but I did tell melissa all about it.

finally pete and i flew separately to nice and met up again on sunday night. pete won the 'who had the least sleep' prize... apparently 4 hours since we last met 4 days ago. He also wins the least practical shoes prize... brand new flip flops - we have already bought 2 kinds of bandaids/pansement/plasters to get through one day. not the most auspicious way to start a 6 day hike.

Comments:
Well Pete always has had an interesting line in rhythms. Particularly the ones i carried home for him. Shame he left one of mine in RIX.........
